{"id":2432,"date":"2022-01-11T11:21:18","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T10:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.modularsynthesizerensemble.at\/?p=2432"},"modified":"2024-02-28T15:24:28","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T14:24:28","slug":"fsw-tageszentrum-winarskystrasse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.modularsynthesizerensemble.at\/en\/fsw-tageszentrum-winarskystrasse\/","title":{"rendered":"Fonds Soziales Wien &#8211; Tageszentrum Winarskystrasse"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The Modular Synthesizer knows no age limits<\/h4>\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tageszentren.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Winarskystrasse Day Center<\/a>\u00a0 of the Vienna Social Fund (FSW), senior citizens &#8211; sponsored by the City of Vienna Culture &#8211; got an insight into the world of electronic music.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the freelance musician and artist Gammon, who visited the facility with his socio-acoustic and participatory music project &#8220;Modular Synthesizer Ensemble&#8221;, they &#8220;sniffed&#8221; into a new world:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Modular Synthesizer Ensemble - FSW Tageszentrum Winarskystrasse\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mcZ1tnN2FWU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Initial skepticism and fear of contact on the part of the senior citizens were quickly dispelled by the professional and empathetic guidance as well as great curiosity on the part of the participants.<br \/>\nIn the workshop, they then experimented and composed a joint piece of music, which was also recorded and presented at the end of the day.<br \/>\n&#8220;At the beginning, I was skeptical and didn&#8217;t know what to expect. There were so many buttons and switches that we operated.
